Receiver Wes Welker hosted the first series of the New England Patriots on Sunday AFC Divisional Playoff loss to the New York Jets.
Welker seemed to have been located in response to their comments directed toward Jets coach Rex Ryan at a Thursday News Conference when the receiver spoke feet 10 times. Ryan and his wife are reportedly appeared in a feet fetish video ahead of this season, although the Jets coach does not recognize the allegation and has refused to comment, calling him a personal matter.
"I didn't anything." I am just waiting for the opportunity to go out and play, "said Welker." "Respect to the New York Jets." Respect "for Rex Ryan".
Belichick refused to comment on why Welker lost the first set.
In the CBS television broadcast, the announcers said Welker was being punished for their comments.
Welker was not in the field for first offensive play of the Patriots, but he took the field to return the first punt jets. It was in the game by the second possession the Patriots and later caught a 10-yard pass in second chance.
Welker led the Patriots with 86 receptions for 848 yards in a season regular that started all 16 games. Welker scored seven touchdowns.
